The Panasonic NPM DX pick and place machine is the next-generation SMT Mounter engineered for smart manufacturing lines. As a Panasonic NPM DX system, it introduces autonomous line control, feeder compatibility with the NPM series, automatic recovery, and remote operation options—all designed to reduce labor and boost utilization.

With support for Automatic Recovery (pickup-position teaching on error), the machine ensures smoother operation even under challenging conditions. It is compatible with NPM series feeders, nozzle sets, and carts, enabling seamless upgrade paths for existing Panasonic users. The machine supports single-lane PCB sizes ranging from 50×50 mm to 510×590 mm and dual-lane mode up to 510×300 mm, providing flexibility in board formats.

PCB exchange time is as fast as 2.1 seconds for boards under 275 mm and ~4.8 seconds for longer PCBs. This speed makes the NPM-DX a competitive option for high-mix, high-demand production. With options for remote operation and centralized control, it aligns well with smart factory and Industry 4.0 goals.
