JUKI Fast Smart Modular Mounter RS-1R

The JUKI Fast Smart Modular Mounter RS-1R is a high-performance modular placement system designed for flexibility and speed in SMT assembly. As a Fast Smart Modular Mounter, the RS-1R integrates advanced features to boost throughput and adaptability in complex production environments.

It supports placement speeds up to 47,000 CPH, while maintaining placement accuracy of ±35 µm (Cpk ≥ 1). Vision recognition accuracy is ±30 µm. The machine features an 8-nozzle “Takumi Head” that automatically adjusts the recognition sensor height across six selectable levels (1, 3, 6, 12, 20, 25 mm), enabling high adaptability for mixed-height components without manual adjustments.

Board size handling includes a minimum of 50 × 50 mm and maximums that vary with buffers and single or double clamp modes, with modular conveyor extensions upstream and downstream. Component height up to 25 mm and part size range from metric 0201 to 74 mm square or 150 × 50 mm parts. The RS-1R allows use of up to 112 × 2 feeder slots (depending on configuration).

One key feature is that the RS-1R can self-optimize workload dynamically without needing head replacement, enabling balancing between speed and flexibility. Its modular design supports upgrading or configuring multiple RS-1R units to meet different production demands.
